Happy Tuesday All

Sooo, I make a point to sign most of my work emails and Happy _________(Monday, Tuesday Wednesday..... etc)

How odd, that I, I mean Francine Johnson/Sanchez, chooses to be the ray of sunshine. Well, not really. :) Honestly, it's like my signature move at work.

Anyways...

Things at the house are going great. Oscar's seriously doing really well. I don't know if all his siblings are doing as well, but Oscar is. Danny is coming up again for Spring Break which I am really looking forward to. The funeral is Friday which I'm not looking forward to and Easter is being pushed back a couple weeks this year. boo.

I've started working out again and gotten sick again (it almost always goes back and back), but this time I've just got to work through it. Oscar is helping me in a non-intrusive way and my new work schedule is just BEAUTIFUL!!! MWF, 8am-3pm. BEAUTIFUL!! The gym is on the way home and I put in a horrendous hour yesterday. (hopefully that will be my new MWF routine. Truly horrendous, I was bored and hot and not enjoying the gym environment. But, I did it and my body knows it.

Ravi is working out too and he is my inspiration. (don't tell him that though)
Oscar is training him. Ravi drove over around 8 last night and worked out till 10. He then went back to work for a couple hours. blah. If Ravi can do it, so can I.

Ok, I think that's all for now. I just wanted to check in because my last message was so sad.

Happy Easter All!!!

Oh and this is my new Easter/Spring/Summer hat. I love it.

I'm actually hosting a giveaway sponsored by Ms. Martha Jo, who made the hat, starting TOMORROW at JOT.

Still not making money from that blog, my guess is a few more months. But, I did get a cute hat. :)

Moving On

Soooo, on Tuesday I wrote a blurb about Oscar's dad.

He found out Monday night from his sister. The grief he showed was more than I'd ever been exposed to before. I think Oscar lost part of himself. The future he had envisioned with his father will never take place.

Oscar planned to support his father, maybe even have his father live with us. He was planning a trip to Mexico with his father and expecting him to be there for his grandchildren. All that was lost. Forever. And there was guilt.

He could have done more. We all could have done more. Would that have saved him?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So..... Oscar cried and prayed and went to work. He cried some more, talked to family, talked to friends. Spent time with family, saw his father's body, came home.

Tried to keep his mind off his loss and onto the positive things in his life.

And I have been there next to him, crying with him, holding him, being present.

The last few days have been ok. Oscar being able to cry and talk about it with multiple people seems to have really helped him. People telling him over and over that it's not his fault seems to help.

I think he will mourn his father for the rest of his life, and that's ok. His loss will pop into his head at moments his dad would have enjoyed and that's ok.

Ravi came and hung out with him all day long today. It sounded like a lot of fun. They played golf, went to the gym and played chess. I spent the day at my sister's creating a slideshow for the funeral. When I came home we hung out some more and then Ravi left and there is sadness. I do everything I can to get his mind off of it, but sometimes it is unavoidable. It comes creeping back throughout the day and is the elephant in the room.

Oscar's missing a part of him, and therefore I am missing a part of me. We both miss his Dad's quiet presence in our lives dearly.

Here's the slideshow I put together.

Viewing the Body

So, yesterday afternoon my husband got a call he will never forget.

It was his sister. His dad committed suicide.

So.............it's been a rough night and day. :(

But, life moves on. And so do we.

Meet Francine, the Perfectionist

I've never ever ever considered myself a perfectionist.

But, I guess everyone in training says I am, and they are kind of right.

I do want to do everything perfectly and am bummed when I mess up.

hmmmm, I never used to be like that. I think its because before my overall life was pretty much in order. Now that I don't feel as successful in the big things, I think I want to make it up in the small stuff.

**Cheski remember when we sang Cruella Deville in Middle School....with the boas? My radio is being inconsistent in my car. So, I had to provide my own music. :) I was singing every song I could think of that I actually knew the words to (it was a long drive) and I ended up singing Cruella Deville and laughing about our talent show performance.

**Anyways, I've had a great week at training and start with kiddos, I think, on Monday. I don't have a full schedule, so I'm just trying to trust in God. Oscar is being super supportive. Seriously, what's wrong with him, lol. Why is he being so supportive?

That's all. Oscar cleaned the whole house while I was at work and rearranged the furniture. I love how it looks. I've also received my first item to review that I don't like at all. I was planning on doing a giveaway for it, but I can't. So, I feel kind of bad telling the Author (it's a book).

So...... that is life over here in Sanchez land. Looking forward to a beautiful weekend.

If you want to enter some giveaways, check out JOT!! I have 4 giveaways going on right now.

Taken Care Of

Have you ever felt entirely taken care of?
Well, I have and do.

Yesterday, I had a flat tire actually DURING work. I called AAA around 9pm (what a blessing AAA is, but I should probably learn how to change my own tire), they arrived a little after 9:45pm. I got home at almost 10:30pm.

I walk in the door, cold, very tired, huge headache and........ there is my husband. He made dinner for both of us and waited until I had come home to eat his meal too. He had fixed our heater, done the dishes and cleaned the kitchen floor. He greeted me at the door with a hug and a kiss and helped tired old me find a warm sweatshirt to wear. He is my hero right now. So grateful to him.

On another note, I am hosting my first giveaway today on JOTGiveaways. It ends March 24th and has a pretty easy first entry. You don't even need to have blogger to enter. If you win you get to choose a piece of jewelry from Bead Story. :) There are TWO winners!!

Anyways, I am working hard to build up JOT Giveaways and hopefully get some advertisement money coming in. I would be happy if that starts happening in a couple months. In the meantime it is fun reviewing different products.

Blah, so tired!! haha and I am just going on and on and on........

One last thing before I go. Today is my last day with my kiddos. Sad day.

Tomorrow, I get my fingerprints done.

Friday, I start my new job!!
